(2)."Sorry," Ed said putting his hand on Dani's shoulder. "I didn't mean to snap like that. I just feel like an idiot now. Are you okay?"

1.Danielle sighed and shrugged his hand away. "I'm fine.. Look, this guy is among the highest and most skilled assassins around. He taught me almost everything he knows. I know the way his head works. But, from the way it sounds, he's moving more to the West. Out past Risembool... So, I think that we should split up. The three of you can head through Risembool and I'll scan the surrounding towns. Then we'll meet up later on.. If you find anything out about his whereabouts or you manage to see him or anyone else suspicious, then come looking for me.. If you get into a fight with him.... Well, let's just say you'll either end up in a ditch, or worse: Like me."

(2)."You're going alone?" Ed asked, concerned.

5.Winry sort of poked around for a second, hesitating before speaking. "Wouldn't it just be easier if you came to Risembool with us? After all, we don't know him like you do. And I know for a fact Pinako would so love to see you! She talked about you a lot in the past few weeks, wondering when you'd come back. And I'll repeat myself here, if we get in a fight with him, no one knows him better than you, and Ed couldn't take him out. Just look at him!" she insisted. "And if it helps, Risembool is right on the way to where he is, we can make a little stop and perhaps pick up some help."

(2)."Hey, what do ya mean I couldn't take him!?" Ed asked angrily, standing up. As soon as he stood up he noticed his real leg had fallen asleep and he immediately fell back on the bed. "d**n it!"

1.Danielle laughed lightly and shook her head. "Trust me, Ed, I doubt I could even take him on.. That is, considering I'd probably be too frozen up to do it.. And I don't know, Win... I left the place so I wouldn't have to go back ever again. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Pinako again and stuff. But I don't know that I can go back and face it and everyone there that knows what happened. Even living miles away, it's tough. I can't even imagine trying to go back there and dealing with everyone coming at me head-on. It's just something I don't think I'm ready to do yet.."

5."Ah, don't worry about it, Dani. Ed and I... Well, I... can make sure nobody bugs you." she smiled and sort of tapped the side of the wrench against her palm. "And we'll be there for you. Honestly, I think most of the elderly people there entirely forgot what happened." she laughed a little bit and set her wrench in her lap. "Ed can handle a little emotional problem, at least a little." she kind of glanced at him, giving him a look showing her knowledge of how he wasn't the deepest guy. For that fact, he had the emotional range of a salad bowl.

(2)."Really Dani," Ed said crawling up beside her on the bed. "No one remembers what happened anyway. Please stay with us... I wouldn't feel right letting you go out alone in these times anyway."

1."Really? You guys do. I do. Who's to say no one else will?" She sat down next to Ed and leaned over, covering her face in her hands and sighing. She was silent for a few moments until she pushed her hair back some, only to have it fall back into her face when she sat back up. "I suppose.. It's my order to follow him, so I don't have much of a choice, do I? Plus, I think I might need to visit mother and father.. If I'm lucky enough, they'll pass some of their strength to me..." She stared at the floor before leaning over and putting her head on Ed's shoulder. "But you're not leaving me for anything.. Or I'll kick your ass. That goes for all of you." She grinned lightly after the last part.

(2)."I hereby promise not to leave you," Ed said holding his hand in the air mockingly. "Now, we should probably get going soon. Or..." He suddenly felt dizzy and fell back on the bed, causing Dani to stop leaning on him. "M-maybe we should stay the night here... or at least until the room stops spinning."

1.Danielle laughed some as she fell onto his stomach and rolled over onto her back. "Yeah.. It's gonna take you awhile before it'll wear off enough. It's not as hard to get past the second time you drink. Eventually you just learn to cope with it from time to time." She pat his head and rolled on her side to face him again, yawning. "Anyway, I trained a little much earlier today, since I had a lot more free time left. So I'm getting tired as it is.. It'll get dark in just a few hours, so I'll pull out the bed in the couch and we'll share, Winry."

5."You don't have to worry about me. I'll probably hang out up on the roof most of the night anyways. I've gotten plenty of rest. You guys need it far more than I do." she chuckled as Ed just fell backwards onto the bed. "I think I'm gonna go ahead and go out. Get some sleep and I'll see you in the morning for breakfast." she picked up her wrench and rested it over her right shoulder as she stood up to leave. "And trust me, I'll make sure nobody bothers you and who knows, maybe everyone actually did forget." she smiled. Alphonse walked up behind her, noting that he had a few questions for her, and that he wanted to see how Pinako and everyone else was in Risembool. She nodded and they walked out. Al grinned and closed the door behind them before disappearing down the hall with Winry.

(2).Ed turned his head slightly to look at Dani's face. He didn't speak but had a sudden urge. He wanted to kiss her.. Should he? Why was he having this feeling now? Would it be inappropriate? Ed leaned in slightly, pursing his lips a little as he lightly tapped them against Dani's.

1.Danielle's eyes widened some and she froze for a moment. Her mind went completely blank as she leaned towards him, returning the kiss. She didn't think anything like this would happen.. At least not so spontaneously. She had a faint image, a memory really, fuzzily hidden in the back of her head. From when she and Ed were little, and she'd kissed him on the cheek. They spent the rest of the day blushing. It made her smile..

(2).Ed broke the kiss, staring into Dani's eyes. He didn't move or speak, he didn't even breathe. He just lay there, looking deep into her eyes, into her soul, praying that he had done the right thing at the right time. He smiled and gave her a questioning look.

1.Dani smiled more and leaned in, kissing him lightly once more, as if giving her own silent answer before speaking, "I almost forgot about that... Heh.. When we were little. And you were upset because Winry said something about you not being able to get a first kiss...." She blushed and looked down.

(2).Ed chuckled. "Wow, that's right, you were my first kiss, weren't you?" He leaned in and pecked her lightly on the lips again. "You know how much I care about you, right?" He asked.

1.Danielle looked around and shrugged, smiling lightly and nodding. "I think I'm starting to realize, yeah.. I sorta forgot how close we really were when we were younger. It's been a really long time..."

(2)."To tell you the truth..." Ed began but he paused. Should he tell her the truth? It sounded kinda creepy in his head. "I never really got over you..." He said it. "The whole time you were gone, I was depressed, and I wondered where you had gone."

1."Well, honestly, I didn't know where I'd go.. I just ran and ran for awhile until I ended up here in Nishimachi.. Rob found me out on the streets and took me in after Colonel Mustang had sent me on a mission here and I got lost and caught up with some bad people. He let me live at the inn, working there as payment for a home and food. I came and went as I pleased, all the while riding the train for three hours to get here, and then another three back. I kept myself hidden from most everyone, and when I came to HQ, Mustang respected my wishes to stay as invisible as possible. I didn't want anyone finding out what I did or anything else about me.. And over the years, I've definitely strayed from being a people's person."

(2)."Life story, eh?" Ed chuckled. "It really must have been hard. I promise you though, as long as you still want it, you'll never be alone." He stuck his hand out, pulling her fingers into his palm and squeezing. He looked at her and a tear rolled down his cheek to the bed sheets. "You're so beautiful, Dani..." he lost his voice as he lost himself in her.

1."I don't ever want to be alone again.. It's just as deep as the hole I got stuck in after killing my mother... I'm not returning to that kind of pain again. I won't let it happen." She smiled lightly and wiped his cheek before kissing it. "Well, I do try to look my best.." She grinned and reached for his other hand, holding it gently.

(2).As they lay, staring at each other, and holding each other's hands Ed felt like doing nothing more than staying like this forever. He never wanted to move from this spot. Never wanted to see anything but Dani's sparkling eyes, penetrating gaze, her thin mouth, those perfect lips. He moved in again, pressing his lips against hers, but harder this time, pulling them back about a centimeter before pushing them back against hers.

1.Dani sighed happily as she closed her eyes, fighting herself in her mind about this being real.. She didn't know she'd ever see Ed again, let alone kiss him. Her heart practically stopped beating when Mustang told her she'd be going on a mission with the Elric brothers. She really just wanted to get the mission done and over with before, but now she realized how much she really just wanted to stay with Ed forever..

(2).Ed continued the kiss moving his hands from hers to her back. He moved himself closer and began to slip his tongue in. As soon as his tongue hit her teeth he pulled away from her. "I'm sorry... I'm going too fast too far..." he was nervous, and he began to scoot back slowly to his original position.

1.Danielle blushed and laughed lightly. "Ed, it's not like we've only known each other for a week.. You don't have to get all nervous and flustered. Trust me, if I don't like it or think it's too fast, you'll know right away.." She put her hand on his cheek and pulled his face to hers, kissing him gently.

(2).Ed was surprised by her forwardness and eagerly moved back to being close to her. He wrapped his arms around her back again and moved his tongue to her mouth, massaging hers. He explored her mouth as he remembered the past few years of his life, and how they had been so empty without her. He closed his eyes as he became entranced in the kiss.
